Elliot’s Café is situated on Market Porter Street, on the edge of the Borough Market. Take note that it only serves its cheeseburger on weekday lunchtimes, but make sure you follow them on twitter for any specials or upcoming events.
Since we started the website we have heard great things about Eliots, but due to the policy of only serving their burger at lunchtimes from Monday to Friday we’ve not had the chance to get down! But we made time this week and wow, just wow. The burger is 42-day Dexter Beef patty, with lyonnaise beer braised onions, 12 month preserved Comté cheese, dill butter, and their own house-made brioche buns. Don’t let the images put you off either, the burger definitely appears smaller than it actually is! Sourced from ex-GingerPig butcher Nathan who now runs The Butchery Ltd.
The cafe is modern, stylish, brick exposed and in keeping with its trendy Borough market location.
I’d honestly say that Eliots burger is very close to perfection. They were also awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 Michelin awards. Tasty.
