The best door handle you have ever seen.
From scottish born street foodies the Wild Game Co. – Andy Waugh (below) comes a new standalone restaurant Mac & Wild bringing a taste of the Scottish Highlands to the to Fitzrovia’s Great Titchfield Street! The meat is sourced and butchered by Andy’s family’s 30-year-old game-butchering business located just North of Inverness.
The main event has to be The Venimoo, beautifully juicy and tasty, with a soft inside but crispy outside brioche bun dripping with flavour. A delicious mixture of a beef patty with a venison patty, bernaise sausce, cheese, caramelised onions and a brioche bun. Wash it down with a whisky-based cocktail (or two) and relax among stag heads and butchers hooks in the rustic-rural charm of the restaurant. We actually made our our cocktail by mistake, a little bit of whisky, topped up with Irn Bru. Try it! Introduce yourself to the lovely Iria and remind her about our Irn Bru cocktail 😉 We had the opportunity to try the VeniMoo burger at Burger Fest 2015, where Wild Game Co. picked up London’s Best Burger award for 2015, and it deserved it. Packed with taste and has gooey drippy burger perfection written all over it.
If your visiting, you also HAVE to order the Dirty Mash Potato which comes alongside some Bone Marrow sauce, it is to DIE for. Oh, and the Haggis Pops, THE HAGGIS POPS..JUST ORDER EVERYTHING.
