Slow Richie’s is a Street Food Kitchen run by brothers Richie and Alex Calver in Peckham, South East London based.
When you arrive you’ll find buns packed with huge portions, and plenty of flavour.
Currently they have a residency at Brick Brewery in Peckham – you can visit Wednesday-Friday 5pm til 10pm and all day Saturday Noon til 10pm. Serving up a hugely flavoursome menu including our favourite ‘The Beef’ which is complimented perfectly by a chilli lime dressing that gives it a little kick but was in no way overpowering. (Prime British Beef Burger with Honey-glazed Pork Belly, Mature Cheddar & Chilli Lime Dressing.) and ‘The Hog’ (Slow Roasted Pork Belly with Chilli Apple Sauce and Crackling.) Dreamy.
Slow Richies is, quite frankly, one of the best burgers we have ever had. Period.
They also make their own sauces, which you should definitely pick up! Two of which are collaboration sauces with Brick Brewery, The Scotch Bonnet & Blenheim Black Hot Sauce and The Peckham Pils BBQ Sauce which incorporate two of Brick’s finest beers. You may of spotted these around pubs darted around Peckham/East Dulwich already.
Oh, there’s also a ‘Beet Burger’ for the veggies – marinated beetroot, grilled goat’s cheese and pumpkin chutney. If that’s your thing.
